History

Monzen-nakacho Station serves the Monzen-nakachō district of Kōtō ward in Tokyo and is jointly operated by Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. The Tōzai Line platforms (T-12) opened on 14 September 1967 under the Teito Rapid Transit Authority. The Toei Ōedo Line platforms (E-15) were added on 12 December 2000, providing an interchange between the two networks. With the privatisation of the TRTA in 2004, operation of the Tōzai Line platforms passed to Tokyo Metro, while the Ōedo Line platforms remain under Toei Subway management.
