Ino-ekimae tram stop opened on 15 November 1924 as the new tram-side counterpart to the JNR Ino station that opened the same day; some sources record an initial name of "Gunyakusho-mae". The stop was abolished on 1 April 1944 during wartime line cuts, then reopened on 13 February 1958 under a new licence. After Tosa Electric Railway merged with Kōchiken Kōtsū and Tosaden Dream Service on 1 October 2014, the stop became part of Tosaden Kōtsū. The two single-track platforms are offset along the track, with the Harimaya-bashi-bound side covered by a simple shelter; nothing is built on the Ino-bound side.

Ino-ekimae and the adjacent JR Ino Station opened on the same day in 1924 but were placed on opposite sides of the road; passengers reach the tram stop by walking north across National Route 194 from the JR station forecourt.
