History

Yūbinkyoku-mae ("in front of the post office") Stop opened on 1 September 1931 as Higashitamachi Stop on the section from the now-defunct Migiyachō-suji stop to Renshōji (today's Tamachi). It was renamed Yūbinkyoku-mae on 6 July 1937, reflecting the proximity of the Okayama Central Post Office. The stop is located in Migiyachō and Nakayamashita 1-chōme in Kita-ku, Okayama City, on the Okayama Electric Tramway Seikibashi Line. Stop number S04. It has a single island platform serving two tracks.
