Yasuda Station opened on 1 July 2002 as an intermediate stop on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway's new Asa (Gomen–Nahari) Line, in Yasuda, Aki District, Kōchi Prefecture, 38.7 km from the line's origin at Gomen. The station is elevated, with a single side platform serving one track and no station building; passengers reach the platform from below by stairs or a lift, and the only shelter is an enclosed-plus-open structure on the platform itself. Operated by the third-sector Tosa Kuroshio Railway, the stop carries station number GN23 and is served by every rapid and local Asa Line train apart from those terminating at Aki.

Yasuda's cartoon mascot "Yasuda Ayu-kun" is a boy with an ayu fish balanced on his hat — a nod to the neighbouring Yasudagawa river, which is locally known for its ayu (sweetfish).
