• Yosan Line: Kan'onji ⇄ Minoura

Toyohama Station opened on 1 April 1916 as an intermediate stop in what is now Kan'onji, Kagawa Prefecture, when the Sanuki Line was extended west from Kan'onji to Kawanoe. The line was operated by Japanese Government Railways, later Japanese National Railways. Freight handling ended on 1 June 1970 and parcels on 14 March 1985, with the station destaffed at the same time. From March to November 1987 it was briefly restored to direct operation with one member of staff and a kiosk before reverting to weekend-unstaffed status in November 1990 and finally to full unstaffed operation on 1 October 2010. JR Shikoku has run the station since the 1987 privatisation.

Toyohama's 2-Line platform and the strip beside it are planted with azaleas, which when in bloom turn the station into a local viewing spot.
