Torokko Saga Station is the eastern terminus of the Sagano Scenic Railway's Sagano Scenic Line, opened on 27 April 1991 in Saga Tenryū-ji Kurumamichi-chō, Ukyō-ku, Kyoto. The station shares its building with JR West Saga-Arashiyama Station on the Sanin Main Line, the western Saga-Arashiyama transfer point for Kyoto's Sagano sightseeing district. The station building was rebuilt in 1997, and the trackside 19th Century Hall and "Diorama Kyoto JAPAN" — one of Japan's largest HO-scale model railway dioramas — opened in 2003 and 2011 respectively. A static D51 51 steam locomotive stood at the entrance until it was removed in December 2019 due to aging.

The 19th Century Hall and the adjacent main entrance once displayed three preserved Japanese steam locomotives — JNR Class C58 48, C56 98 and D51 51 — though the D51 was removed in December 2019 because of its deteriorating condition.
