History
Tokyo Teleport Station opened on 30 March 1996 as an underground stop on the Rinkai Line in Kōtō, Tokyo, operated by Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit. At opening, the station served as the line's terminus from Shin-Kiba before the route was later extended westward to Ōsaki. The station has a single island platform serving two tracks and lies 4.9 kilometres from the Shin-Kiba terminus. Many trains inter-run with JR East's Saikyō Line and Kawagoe Line, providing through service deep into Saitama Prefecture. Station numbering was introduced in 2016, assigning the station the code R04. The station serves the Odaiba waterfront entertainment and exhibition district and acts as the terminus for several local and long-distance bus routes.
Notes
The station is the terminus of long-distance bus routes connecting to Tsukuba, Tsuchiura, Kashimajingū, Yokohama, Haneda Airport and Nagoya, alongside the Skytree Shuttle to Kinshichō and Tokyo Skytree.
