Tokyo International Cruise Terminal Station opened on 1 November 1995 as Funenokagakukan Station ("Museum of Maritime Science"), a stop on the original section of the Yurikamome automated guideway transit line. The elevated station, numbered U 08 and located in Aomi, Kōtō, Tokyo, has a single island platform serving two tracks. On 14 April 2006 a 17:06 Shinbashi-bound train derailed shortly after leaving the station after a parts failure, without casualties. The station was renamed to its present form on 16 March 2019 in connection with the opening of the new Tokyo International Cruise Terminal nearby.

The station was originally named after the Museum of Maritime Science nearby; the 2019 renaming to "Tokyo International Cruise Terminal" reflected the opening of the new terminal that replaced the older facility at Harumi.
