History

Tamba-Takeda Station opened on 1899-07-15 as Takeda Station on what is now the Fukuchiyama Line. It was renamed to its present name on 1911-11-01 to distinguish it from other Takeda stations elsewhere in Japan. The station passed to JR West with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1987-04-01. The unstaffed station consists of two opposed ground-level side platforms connected by a footbridge, 98.2 km from the Fukuchiyama Line's terminus at Amagasaki.

Notes

Originally just "Takeda Station" at 1899 opening, the Tamba- prefix was added in 1911 to distinguish it from other Takeda stations across Japan.
