• Yosan Line: Iyo-Yoshida ⇄ Kita-Uwajima

Takamitsu Station opened on 2 July 1941 as an intermediate stop on what was then the Uwajima Line, a Japanese Government Railways branch running between Uwajima and Unomachi. When the Yosan Main Line was extended westward from Yawatahama and met the Uwajima Line at Unomachi on 20 June 1945, the Uwajima Line and its stations, Takamitsu included, were absorbed into the Yosan Main Line. Freight handling ended on 1 June 1970 and parcel handling on 8 November 1971, when the station became unstaffed. At the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987, control passed to JR Shikoku. The station today consists of a single side platform with only a passenger shelter and modest parking; only local trains stop here.

In January 1992 a JR Shikoku-run Kitakata-style ramen shop and convenience store opened on the station grounds; both have since closed and the buildings have been demolished, leaving the lot empty.
