History
Suwanokawara Station (C19) is a Toyama Chihō Railway tram stop in Suwanokawara 1- and 2-chōme, Toyama City, on prefectural road 44 (Toyama-Takaoka Line). Opened on 5 August 1952, the stop has staggered (chidori-shiki) opposed side platforms. On 24 November 2017 a car ran into the Yasunoya-bound platform, damaging the concrete vehicle barrier.
Notes
The stop's name comes from the nearby Suwa-jinja shrine. Within walking distance is the Matsukawa river, listed among Japan's '100 Best Cherry Blossom Sites' and crossed by the Funahashi bridge.
