History

Suehirochō Station opened on 15 March 2008 — the newest stop on the Manyōsen line and the first new station added after the line's rebranding as the Manyōsen. From 1 May 2020 it carried the sponsored nickname "Santen Corporation Suehirochō" under a naming-rights agreement that expired on 30 April 2023.

Notes

The reading of the station name diverges from the place name: the stop is called Suehirochō, but the surrounding neighbourhood is read Suehiromachi. The station also appears as one of the settings in the animated film "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" (Kimi no Suizō wo Tabetai).
