History

Shiyakushomae tram stop opened on 30 October 1913 as Tsuruoka-Kōbanmae stop, was renamed Tsuruoka-chō before 1938, then renamed Shiyakushomae on 23 April 1947. A new pair of platforms was placed in service on 23 January 2008 across the intersection from the former site, with sheltered, wind-protected barrier-free decks of the same design as those at Uoichibadōri. The stop is on the Hakodate City Tram Main Line and uses the station number DY18.
