Location
History
Shimoizumi Station is a stop on the Ōigawa Main Line in the town of Kawanehon, Shizuoka Prefecture, 27.4 km from the line's starting point at Kanaya. One of the line's original stations, it opened on 1 February 1931 and is operated by Ōigawa Railway. The station has a single island platform with a small wooden building reached by a level crossing, and is unstaffed.
Notes
The platform appeared in a 1993 Kose "Lucheri" cosmetics commercial featuring actors Toshiaki Karasawa and Asaka Seto.
