History
Shibakōen Station opened on 27 November 1973 as a stop on the Toei Line 6, the subway built and operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. The line was redesignated the Mita Line on 1 July 1978. The station is numbered I-05 and lies 4.6 km from the Mita Line's western terminus at Meguro. PASMO became usable on 18 March 2007.
Notes
Although Shibakōen sits roughly 500 metres east of Akabanebashi Station on the Toei Ōedo Line, the two are not registered as a transfer pair and no paid-area corridor connects them.
