Settsu Station opened on 22 August 1997 when the Osaka Monorail Main Line was extended from Minami Ibaraki to Kadoma-shi, adding several stations along the eastern Osaka suburban belt. The station is elevated, with an island platform and two tracks; platform-edge glass walls and platform-screen doors line the platform. Settsu is station number 21 on the line, and is located in the city of Settsu, Osaka.
