• Tokyu Ikegami Line: Gotanda ⇄ Togoshi-ginza

Ōsakihirokōji Station opened on 9 October 1927 as the terminus of an extension of the Ikegami Electric Railway from Kiri-ga-Ya (later abolished). On 17 June 1928 the line was further extended to Gotanda, making this a through-station; the two stations sit only about 340 metres apart. On 1 October 1934 the line passed to the Meguro-Kamata Electric Railway, a predecessor of the present Tōkyū Corporation. Between 2008 and 2014 the Yamate-dōri elevated overpass was rebuilt and the concourse was made step-free, removing a long-standing barrier of stairs at the entrance.

The station has the lowest daily ridership on the Tōkyū Ikegami Line because Gotanda Station, with its JR and subway connections, is only a short walk away and absorbs much of the local pedestrian traffic.
