Ogane

Ōgane Station opened on 15 April 1923 in what is now the city of Nasukarasuyama, Tochigi Prefecture, and is served by the Karasuyama Line, a 20.4 km branch from Hōshakuji. It is the only station on the line between Hōshakuji and Karasuyama where trains can pass each other, with two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing. Staff were removed on 1 August 2013 when CTC was introduced on the Karasuyama Line, and the ticket vending machine was also withdrawn. A new station building entered service on 15 March 2014, and the station is now managed remotely from Hōshakuji.

JR East built a small shrine, "Ōgane Jinja", in the station grounds in January 1993; tickets from Hōshakuji ("treasure piles up") to Ōgane ("big money") were sold as good-luck charms during lottery seasons.
