History

Nirigahama Station opened on 16 June 1912 in what is now Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture. It is today a two-platform halt on the Nankai Electric Railway Kada Line, with the two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing, and was assigned the station designation NK44-5 when Nankai introduced numbering. The station is 6.2 km from the line's terminus at Kinokawa and 8.9 km from Wakayamashi.
