History
Nakatoyo Station opened on 1 February 1958 as a Japanese National Railways stop on the Suigun Line, in the town of Tanagura, Higashishirakawa District, Fukushima Prefecture. With the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987 it passed to JR East. The station has a single side platform, no station building, and only a small waiting shelter on the platform itself. It is administered remotely from the Suigun Line area centre at Hitachi-Daigo Station.
