History
Mizoguchi Station opened on March 28, 1898 on what is now the JR West Bantan Line in present-day Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture, 13.2 km from the line's terminus at Himeji. The station passed to West Japan Railway Company on April 1, 1987 with the privatization of Japan National Railways. It serves the surrounding residential area with two opposed ground-level side platforms connected by a level crossing and operates without staff. According to JR West, in fiscal 2016 it handled roughly 1,742 passengers per day on average.
