Miyauchi-Kushido Station opened on 3 April 1988 on the Sanyō Main Line in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. The station was requested by Hatsukaichi-chō ahead of its 1988 elevation to city status, alongside Aji Station; an Establishment Promotion Association raised the full 270-million-yen construction cost, enabling an early opening. The name is a portmanteau of the neighbouring Miyauchi and Kushido districts. ICOCA was introduced in September 2007 and the station became consigned-operated in April 2011. The Midori-no-Madoguchi ticket counter closed in May 2020 and was replaced by a Midori Plus machine. The bridge-style station accommodates eight-car formations on two side platforms.

Miyauchi-Kushido is the busiest railway station in the city of Hatsukaichi.
