History
Minobayashi Station opened on 27 March 1936 as a Japanese Government Railways intermediate station during the first phase of the Mugi Line, which extended the route from Hanoura to Kuwano. The original station building was destroyed by fire in the summer of 1986. Operation passed to JR Shikoku on 1 April 1987 with the privatisation of Japanese National Railways. The station is now unstaffed and consists of a single side platform with only a shelter, accessed by a ramp from the road; the building has not been rebuilt.
Notes
Minobayashi is the easternmost railway station in Tokushima Prefecture and on the island of Shikoku.
