• Kintetsu Osaka Line: Iga-Kambe ⇄ Kikyōgaoka

Mihata Station opened on 10 October 1930 when Sangū Express Electric Railway extended its line between Haibara and Iga-Kanbe. Corporate reorganisations transferred operation to Kansai Express Railway on 15 March 1941 (when Sangū Express merged with the Osaka Electric Tramway) and on to Kintetsu on 1 June 1944 with the further merger of Kansai Express and Nankai Electric Railway. The line was doubled between the station and Iga-Kanbe on 23 December 1959, and between Nabari and the station on 23 March 1961. The station was added to the rapid-express stopping pattern on 6 March 2003, IC-card service started on 1 April 2007, and the station became unstaffed throughout the day on 21 December 2013.

Until 1 October 1964 there was a separate "Mihata-Shinden" Station about 1 km southeast on Kintetsu's old Iga Line, which has since been abolished.
