Midorigaoka (Hyogo)

Midorigaoka Station opened on 8 March 1950 as Hirono Yakyūjō-mae Station (広野野球場前), a passenger stop on the Kobe Electric Railway Ao Line between Oshibetani and Hirono Shinkai (now Hirono Golf-jō-mae), in present-day Miki, Hyōgo Prefecture. It was renamed Midorigaoka on 15 June 1958 as the surrounding land was redeveloped into the Jiyū-ga-oka new town. The station became unstaffed in April 2000, and the kiosk attached to the platform closed in March 2012. It is now the only single-track, single-platform stop on the line between Nishi-Suzurandai and Shijimi. The station is operated remotely via the line's optical-network station-management system, and serves as the gateway to the Midorigaoka and Aoyama new-town districts of northern Miki. Its station number is KB48.

Daily ridership on Shintetsu has been pulled down in recent years by the competing Shinki Bus service to Sannomiya, which loads at the station's own forecourt roundabout.
