History
Kyūkan-Iryō-Center-mae Station is a Manyosen Takaoka Kidō Line tram stop in Honmachi, Takaoka, Toyama. It opened on 10 April 1948 as Takaoka Shichō-mae Station of Toyama Chihō Railway, passed to Kaetsunō Railway on 1 April 1959, was renamed Honmaru-Kaikan-mae on 1 October 1977, then to Manyosen on 1 April 2002. The stop was moved about 100 m towards Hirokōji on 27 December 2005 and renamed Kyūkan-Iryō-Center-mae on 26 March 2014 after the Takaoka City Emergency Medical Centre opened on the site of the former Honmaru Kaikan. The stop is named after the centre, but the byname "Kojō-kōen Nishi-guchi" reflects its position on the west side of Takaoka Castle Park.
