History
Kōda Station opened on 1 March 1994 as an added station on the existing JR Kyushu Nagasaki Main Line (Nagayo branch / kyū-sen), in Kōda-gō, Nagayo-chō, Nishi-Sonogi District, Nagasaki Prefecture. ICOCA-compatible SUGOCA service began on 1 December 2012. The ticket office closed on 11 March 2022 and the station became unstaffed on 12 March 2022.
Notes
Kōda has a single side platform on the right when facing Nagasaki, with 5-car effective length. The platform sits at the top of a flight of steps from the small station building below. The only ticket gate is on the Hokuyō-dai-Kōkō side, but the prefectural-road side is reached by the Tenmangu underpass.
