• Tsuyama Line: Yuge ⇄ Fukuwatari

Kōme Station sits on the Tsuyama Line in Kumenan, Okayama Prefecture. After decades of petitioning by residents of the former Kōme village, a provisional stop opened on 16 December 1928 between Fukuwatari and Yuge on the privately owned Chūgoku Railway, and the stop was upgraded to a regular halt on 25 December 1929. The Chūgoku Railway's rail division was nationalised on 1 June 1944, bringing the station into the JNR Tsuyama Line. Freight handling ended in June 1962, parcel service in November 1971, and the station became unattended at the same time. JR West succeeded JNR on 1 April 1987, and the present gable-roofed wooden station building was rebuilt in March 1998.

Kōme once had two opposing platforms; after services were consolidated onto a single stub track, the unused side platform was left in place and is still visible at the station today.
