History
Kizugawadai Station opened on 21 September 1994 on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line in Kizugawa, Kyoto Prefecture, where it serves as station B22, 28.2 rail-kilometers from the line’s northern terminus at Kyoto Station. It is operated by Kintetsu Railway and sits between two opposed side platforms joined by an elevated station building, with separate entrances on the east and west and a single ticket-gate concourse. The platforms can accommodate six-car sets, though scheduled service is limited to four-car local trains. The station was constructed to serve the Kintetsu-developed Kizugawadai residential neighbourhood and a nearby prefectural support school, and it remains a strictly local stop on the Kyoto Line.
