History
Kita Shin-Yokohama Station is on the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line in Kōhoku-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, 30.8 km from the line's southern terminus at Shōnandai. It opened on 18 March 1993 as Shin-Yokohama Kita Station and was renamed Kita Shin-Yokohama on 29 August 1999. The station has a single island platform with two tracks, and platform screen doors were retrofitted in April 2007.
Notes
The station was named Shin-Yokohama Kita for its first six years and was renamed in 1999, when "Kita Shin-Yokohama" replaced the earlier word order to match the form of nearby Kita-Shinagawa-style place names.
