History
Kita-Kanuma Station opened on 10 December 1931 on the Tobu Nikko Line in what is now Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture. It became unstaffed on 1 September 1973 and was placed under simplified consignment, with tickets sold from a nearby shop. The original 1931 wooden station building was demolished in around May 2009 when a new station building entered service. Station numbering was rolled out across the Tobu network on 17 March 2012, at which time the station received the code TN-19. The station is a surface stop with two opposed side platforms linked by a footbridge, served by local trains on the line operated by Tobu Railway.
