Keikyū Shin-Koyasu Station opened on 27 March 1910 on the Keikyū Main Line, originally named simply Shin-Koyasu. After the Japanese Government Railways opened its own Shin-Koyasu Station nearby on 1 November 1943, the Keikyū stop was renamed Keihin Shin-Koyasu under pressure from the national operator. A new elevated station building entered service on 26 February 1979, and the station took its present name from 1 June 1987 following the JNR privatisation. Keikyū rolled out station numbering on 21 October 2010, assigning Keikyū Shin-Koyasu number KK32.

Of the two Shin-Koyasu stations a short walk apart, the JR side handles considerably more passenger volume despite Keikyū's stop being the older of the two.
