• Tokyo Metro Tōzai Line: Urayasu (Chiba) ⇄ Nishi-kasai

Kasai Station opened on 29 March 1969 as part of the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line extension, serving Naka-Kasai in Edogawa Ward. The elevated station was built with two centre tracks for rapid services to bypass two outer side platforms used by local trains. The Subway Museum opened beneath the platforms on 12 July 1986, giving the station its "Chikatetsu Hakubutsukan-mae" sub-name and a dedicated entrance on the Urayasu side from August 1993. Facilities passed from the Teito Rapid Transit Authority to Tokyo Metro on 1 April 2004. PASMO acceptance began on 18 March 2007, solar panels were installed in 2013, departure melodies were introduced in 2015, and platform-edge doors entered service on 4 December 2021.

The Subway Museum is integrated beneath the platforms, with a dedicated entrance from the Urayasu end so visitors can enter directly from the station.
