Kantakunosato Station opened on 20 April 1995 on the Shimabara Railway Line, 5.5 km from the line's origin at Isahaya. The unattended halt has a single north-side side platform with no station building, only a platform roof and a bicycle parking area beneath the platform. Operated by the third-sector Shimabara Railway, the station serves Isahaya City Hall's Ono branch office, Ono Junior High School and the nearby Isahaya Yū-yū Land Kantaku-no-Sato facility.
