Location
History
Kanayasawa Station opened on 1953-06-10 as a stop on the Japanese National Railways Ōminato Line in what is now Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture. It came under JR East's operational control on 1987-04-01 at the privatisation of JNR, and the Eki-net Q Chiket service started on 2024-10-01. The station has a single ground-level side platform serving one bidirectional track, with no station building beyond a small rain shelter, and remains unattended. It is located 47.7 km from the Ōminato Line's terminus at Noheji Station and faces Mutsu Bay alongside National Route 279.
