• Yagan Railway Aizu Kinugawa Line: Aizukogen-Ozeguchi ⇄ Nakamiyori-Onsen

Kamimiyori-Shiobara-Onsenguchi Station opened on 9 October 1986 on the Yagan Railway Aizu-Kinugawa Line in Nikkō, Tochigi. The provisional construction name was "Kamimiyori", but because the connecting JNR Aizu Line already had a homophone station (Kamimiyori, now Ashinomaki-Onsen), the new station opened as Shimotsuke-Kamimiyori. On 19 October 1988, when the Ozu Tunnel opened linking the area to Shiobara Onsen, it was renamed Kamimiyori-Shiobara to reflect the new connection. The current name, emphasising the role as a gateway to the hot-spring resort, was adopted on 18 March 2006. The station was selected for the Kanto 100 Stations award in 1998.

Its eight-kanji name is one of the longest pure-kanji station names in Japan, tied with Fukuchiyama-Shimin-Byōin-guchi on the Miyafuku Line.
