History
Kami-honmachi Station (C07) is a Toyama Chihō Railway tram stop in Kami-honmachi, Toyama City, on prefectural road 43. It opened on 1 September 1913 as Minamida-machi tram stop on the Toyama Electric Tramway, was transferred to the Toyama City Tramway on 1 July 1920, joined Toyama Chihō Railway on 1 January 1943, was suspended in March 1943 due to wartime electricity restrictions and again on 2 August 1945 by the Toyama Air Raid, then resumed before being renamed Kami-honmachi on 15 April 1965.
Notes
Despite the kanji 上本町 matching Osaka's well-known Ueh-honmachi Station, the Toyama tram stop reads 'Kami-honmachi' — the JA Wikipedia article explicitly notes the differing reading to disambiguate.
