History

The stop opened on 9 July 1923 as Kokuseiji-eki-mae Station, around 200 metres west of its current site, when the Okayama Electric Tramway extended its Higashiyama Main Line from Saidaijichō to Higashiyama. It was relocated approximately 100 metres east and renamed Hōsōkyoku-suji Stop on 18 August 1931, then renamed Kokuseiji-mae Stop on 15 December 1961. The current site and name Kadotayashiki Stop were adopted on 30 December 1965. The stop is in Kadotayashiki 2-chōme, Naka-ku, Okayama City, with stop number H09. It has a single island platform serving two tracks.
