• Kintetsu Toba Line: Toba ⇄ Asama

Ikenoura Station opened on 1 March 1970 with the Kintetsu Toba Line's extension between Isuzugawa and Toba, in what is now Toba, Mie Prefecture. The section through the station, between Asama and Toba, was double-tracked on 20 December 1975, and the passing facilities were removed at that time. The station was destaffed on 1 April 1998, and PiTaPa acceptance began on 1 April 2007. Built on an embankment with two opposed side platforms, the station has no station building; following destaffing the original 1970 station building was removed and access is now by a stairway from the Toba end of the platform. The effective platform length is six cars.

The 5.7-kilometre gap between Ikenoura and the next station, Asama, is the longest distance between any two stations on the combined Yamada, Toba and Shima Lines.
