History
Higashi-Ogu-sanchōme Station (SA 08) is a Toden Arakawa Line tram stop in Higashi-Ogu 3-chōme, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo. It opened on 1 April 1913 as Shimo-Ogu with the Ōji Electric Tramway's first section between Mi-no-wa (today Mi-no-wabashi) and Asukayama-shita (today Kajiwara). On 1 February 1942 it became part of the Tokyo City Tramway's Mikawashima Line (today the Arakawa Line) and was renamed Ogu-machi-itchōme. It was renamed again to Higashi-Ogu-sanchōme on 15 September 1965 when the local address system was reorganised.
Notes
The stop has been renamed three times — Shimo-Ogu (1913), Ogu-machi-itchōme (1942) and Higashi-Ogu-sanchōme (1965) — each renaming reflecting changes in the local address system rather than any change in operational role.
