History

Higashi-Kohama Station (HN61) is a Hankai Tramway Hankai Line tram stop in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. It opened on 1 December 1911 with the original Hankai Electric Tramway, and successively passed to Nankai Railway in 1915, Kinki Nippon Railway in June 1944, Nankai Electric Railway in June 1947, and the present Hankai Tramway in December 1980. The stop sits on a road-shared alignment with staggered single-platform safety zones, roughly several dozen metres east of Nankai's Kohama Station on the Nankai Main Line, with which non-physical interchange is possible.

Notes

Higashi-Kohama is one of the few Hankai Line stops with a same-name passenger transfer: Nankai's Kohama Station on the Nankai Main Line sits a short walk to the west.
