• Meitetsu Gamagōri Line: Nishi Hazu ⇄ Kodomonokuni (Aichi)

Higashi-Hazu Station opened on 24 July 1936 as part of Mikawa Railway's extension that became Meitetsu's Gamagōri Line. A staffed booking office operated from 1 September 1953 until 1 June 1998, after which the station became unstaffed. Until 28 January 2005 limited-express and express trains called here. The original station building was demolished in October 2021 after a farewell event organised by the city of Nishio, and a small waiting shelter replaced it on 23 March 2024. The platform was lengthened from two-car to four-car capacity in a fiscal 1967 capital project.

When the Gamagōri Line still drew tourists, Higashi-Hazu was the gateway to Saru-ga-shima and Usagi-jima; sightseeing boats ran from nearby Higashi-Hazu Port until they were discontinued on 30 November 1997.
