• Meitetsu Komaki Line: Haguro (Aichi) ⇄ Tagatajinja-mae

Gakuden Station opened on 29 April 1931 on the Meitetsu Komaki Line at Wakamiya, Inuyama, Aichi Prefecture. It served until 2003 as the only intermediate crossing-capable station between Komaki and Inuyama, when staff were withdrawn on 27 March 2003 and stored-fare ticketing was introduced. The Manaca IC card became usable on 11 February 2011, and on 16 February 2013 a new east entrance opened and the in-station level crossing connecting the two side platforms was removed. The station now operates remotely under Inuyama Station, with separate Komaki- and Inuyama-bound platforms no longer connected inside the fare-paid area.

The ruins of Gakuden Castle, headquarters used by Hashiba Hideyoshi during the 1584 Komaki–Nagakute campaign, lie a short walk from the station, though only a commemorative stone remains; the site is occupied today by Gakuden Elementary School.
