Fujitec-mae Station opened on 18 March 2006 on the Ohmi Railway Main Line in the city of Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, prompted by the relocation of elevator manufacturer Fujitec's headquarters to its Shiga works. Fujitec funded approximately 40 million yen of the roughly 54 million yen total cost, with the remainder covering toilets and bicycle parking provided by Hikone city. The station consists of a single 45-metre side platform that can accommodate trains of two carriages. The wooden station building was staffed only during weekday mornings until 1 March 2015, when the station became unstaffed throughout the day. It is the second station from the Maibara terminus, designated OR02.

Fujitec bulk-purchases commuter passes covering this station for its workforce, a benefit-of-the-bargain arrangement reflecting that the station was built specifically to serve the company's relocated headquarters.
