• Etsumi North Line: Echizen-Tomida ⇄ Echizen-Ono

Echizen-Tano Station opened in 1964 on the Japanese National Railways Etsumi-Hoku Line, between Echizen-Ōno and Echizen-Tomida stations. The station was built as a "requested station" funded by local interests and was unattended from the start, with passenger services only. With the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987 the station came under JR West control. After the 18 July 2004 torrential rains shut down the entire line, the station temporarily closed; it resumed services on 20 July 2004 when the Echizen-Ōno–Kuzuryūko section reopened. The station retains a single side platform with a shelter and serves the Tano district of Ōno city in Fukui Prefecture.
