History

Bus Center-Mae Station is a Sapporo Municipal Subway station on the Tōzai Line in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, identified by the line code T10. It opened on 10 June 1976 when the Tōzai Line was inaugurated between Kotoni and Shiroishi. The station sits below Minami-Ōdōri and is directly connected to the Ōdōri Bus Center, which had begun limited operation in April 1975 ahead of the rail line. Elevators were retrofitted in March 2008, the last installation on a Sapporo Subway island-platform station, and platform screen doors began operating later that year on 4 December.

Notes

Bus Center-Mae is the only Sapporo Subway station whose name uses katakana characters, and at seven characters it is also the longest station name on the network.
