History

Aikawa Station opened on 28 January 1916 in Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka, and is now operated by Hankyu on the Kyōto Main Line. Hankyu's system-wide station numbering took effect on 21 December 2013 and designated this stop HK-65. The station has two elevated island platforms, each serving two tracks; outside rush hours local trains for Takatsuki-shi wait at platform 1 while limited expresses pass on platform 2.

Notes

The station's two elevated island platforms allow Takatsuki-shi-bound locals to wait at platform 1 while Kyoto-bound limited expresses pass on platform 2 — a four-track passing scheme at an otherwise modest commuter stop.
